As an Operations Manager you will be responsible for leading operation teams (production, supply chain, OPEX, planning and distribution).

You will work within our Filtration Plant in Nettersheim and will report directly to the Plant Manager.

Your key deliverables:

•    Responsibility for leading operation teams in achieving production schedule, product quality, product cost, and employee safety goals
•    Develop plans to achieve world class high five metrics (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and Inventory) and Eaton Model Site status
•    Develop and implement plans to enhance the quality of work life within operations by assuring that open channels of communication exist with employees; participative employee teams are cultivated and trained; and clean, safe working conditions are maintained
•    Be a part of full compliance to Eaton's internal Environmental Health and Safety Program's goals and objectives
•    Plan and direct facilities investments to improve productivity and provide production capacity consistent with sales volume objectives and support manufacturing strategy
•    Develop plant staff level personnel
•    Establish and maintain a professional relationship with all employee representative levels (e.g. Works councils, economic committee, health and safety committee)

Qualifications

Required:

•    Bachelor´s Degree in Engineering. Additional MBA preferred
•    A minimum of 5-7 years equivalent experience with progressive levels of responsibility in manufacturing and engineering
•    Team management experience
•    Working knowledge of current manufacturing, materials/purchasing and quality assurance methods and practices
•    Administrative knowledge in information systems, human resources and in controlling key projects and plant initiatives
•    Excellent written and oral communication skills and change management skills
•    Strong leadership, motivational & interpersonal skills
•    Very good English and German language capability

Desired:

•    Specific knowledge in welding processes and materials for pressure vessels
•    A thorough understanding of financial practices and financial statements
•    Lean manufacturing experience
