Job Purpose/Overview
The Operations & Associate Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative
support for the manager with the daily operations which includes;
scheduling/timekeeping, training coordination, Consumer Care, cash handling, and
managing vendor relations of M&M’S World.

 

Key Responsibilities
M&M’s BRAND AMBASSADOR and PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE:
• Become knowledgeable of the M&M’s Brand and the store products designed to
delight our guests.
• Display a “Guest comes first” attitude by prioritizing Guest Experience.
• Acts as a positive role model for others by demonstrating passion and enthusiasm.
CUSTOMER FOCUS:
• Responsible for developing associate’s schedules that will provide effective
customer service and operational coverage for the store.
• Ensures schedules are done on time to help ensure a healthy work life balance.
• Delights our Guests through providing exceptional Consumer Care to both our
Internal and External Guests
• Ensure the Operations Associate have followed up in a timely manner on all
Customer complaints or request.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR BUSINESS RESULTS:
• Actively works towards hitting store KPIs but ensuring the right people in the right
place at the right time
• Helps support Managers on the Scheduling, Coordination and occasional
facilitation of all training material and programs.
• Contribute to the success of the store by driving business metrics.
• Partner with Loss Prevention on any inaccuracy’s or discrepancies.
• Drive execution of the company’s internal and external theft and fraud strategy.
FRIENDSHIP and COLLABORATION:
• Co-coordinates with recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Partners with department leads to make recommendations for changes to core program course design and identifies gaps within the training programs.
• Teach, coach, and train associates on proper operational processes as well as store safety and compliance standards.
• Establish rapport and build relationships with Store Operations team, P&O, Loss Prevention, Security, Mars IT Management, and Mars corporate security, establish follow up mechanisms to measure the effectiveness of loss prevention measures, consumer complaints, etc.
• Liaison between store and vendor, ensure routine/non-routine visits with vendors are scheduled.
• Conducting daily walks with regularly scheduled vendor
PUNCTUALITY and INTEGRITY:
• Exemplifies The Five Principles and Associate Concept.
• Helps support in training of associate.
• Supportive of management decisions prevents triangulation and encourages conversations.
INITIATIVE and JUDGEMENT:
• Verify all hours worked for payroll processing and audit punches when necessary
• Participate and/or initiate special duties and projects to enhance operational efficiency and improve the guests’ experience.
• Support the Store Management Team with the running of the Cash room, including Cash Office Associates. This role is responsible for ensuring all the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, cash handling processes and procedures are carried out.
• Responsible for maintaining store supplies, reconciling the P card log, maintaining access badges, and management of radios and handsets.
Other duties as assigned by the management team

Job Specifications/Qualifications 

 

Education & Professional Qualifications

• College Degree preferred or equivalent

• Minimum 3 years’ experience facilitating training programs at all levels


Knowledge / Experience
• HR coordinator experience
• Kronos or Timekeeping system
• Retail experience a plus
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to organize and multi-task multiple projects, workshop activities and particularly administrative duties
