Slough Plant Operations

 

BACKGROUND

Due to the exciting creation of a new team within the Slough factory we now in the market for Operators to join the Mars family. 

 

THE JOB

You will be working in the dairy blending area of the factory that orders, receives, processes and manages the stock of milk powders as required by the site. Milk products represent one of the highest micro risks we have in our business and therefore focus on maintaining the highest levels of GMP and GHP!

 

KEY OUTPUTS  

• Use the stock control system to manage the levels of each component in the area and silos
• Maintain a minimum level of each material
• Transfer the delivery from the receiving air lock to the position prescribed by the WMS in the lay down area in a timely manner
• Any bags of material that appear damaged in a way that could compromise the hygienic integrity of the bag should be treated as unusable
• Label any bags identified as unusable and place in the reject area until they can be processed and returned
• Keep the laydown area organized and clean with no debris or materials other than prescribed by WMS
• Load the BBU unit with the required bags
• Remove the waste from the operation appropriately

 

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

• Educated to GCSE level or above
• Fluent verbal and written English skills
• Experience in the FMCG / Consumer Goods sector desiarable but not essential
