About Baxter’s Cleveland, MS Facility:

Cleveland’s technology and automation is cutting edge.  It is the U.S. sole source for plastic pour bottles, glass IV, and various reconstitution devices.   This facility produces a number of major product lines with a diverse array of automated manufacturing technologies ranging from bottle solution filling, injection molding, tubing extrusion, and device assembly. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must perform functions for the production of Plastic Pour Bottle Molding (Sidel)
  • Must operate Sidel Machines.
  • Perform inspection and packaging of Plastic Pour Bottle and gaskets.
  • Responsible for start-up and readiness of machine and support equipment prior to production (Daily/Weekly/Quarterly Cleaning).
  • Responsible for monitoring equipment and performing minor adjustments during production.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems on equipment.
  • Must be able to perform all duties associated with the operation.
  • Understand and ensure all SOPs, GMPs and safety regulations are followed.
  • Perform and document line clearances.
  • Must verify correctness of material.
  • Must complete production documentation associated with the operation and review batch documentation for correctness/completion.
  • Communicate effectively with department employees, management, engineering, and maintenance.
  • Must train as back-up Production Technician for Sidel.
  • Perform relief duties for other personnel when required, including Production Technician.
  • Promote teamwork.
  • Participate in and complete all required training. 
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts and Lean exercises.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and 6S responsibilities as assigned.
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as determined by supervision/management.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior machine operating experience is necessary.
  • Must have minor troubleshooting ability.
  • Must be able to work with and without direct supervision.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift and/or be trained to do so.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Audiometric testing and hearing protection required.
  • Ability to climb ladders.
  • Ability to bend/stoop.
  • Low absenteeism.
  • Meet visual acuity requirements as documented in the Baxter Cleveland Visual Acuity procedure CL-01-01-037.
  • Knowledge of EHS procedures.
  • Knowledge of LOTO procedures.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime if needed and as required.
