Job Description
Eaton’s ITD-Aerospace division is currently seeking a Opex Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Tijuana facility. The CI Manager is responsible for the Continuous Improvement Manager will serve as a primary internal lean facilitator providing guidance and expertise to unit leadership and their teams across the platform to implement lean methodologies throughout the organization. The individual will establish and/or implement metrics and performance monitoring systems to provide management with quantifiable results and impact of lean activities; promote, educate and instill a culture of waste identification and elimination; coordinate with various aspects of the organization to ensure sustained and fast pace adoption of lean and continuous improvement activities; coordinate and lead projects interfacing with all Segment functional organization levels. Some activities related with the position will be: Serve as internal lean consultant working with designated business leaders & unit employees throughout EATON ITD- Company as needed. Champion and promote Lean philosophy and practices within EATON ITD Establishes or assists in establishing metrics and implements performance monitoring systems to provide leadership with quantifiable measures of results. Promote, educate and instill a culture of waste identification and elimination utilizing lean manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement principles. Ensures sustained and fast pace adoption of lean and continuous improvement activities. Coordinates and leads projects interfacing with all functional and unit organizational levels. Develop and train employees in lean and continuous improvement techniques and practices. Deploys and implements identified business goals and strategy. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, business +5 years experience in lean leadership and lean implementation Familiarity with various manufacturing processes Capable of leading and implementing the practical application of the full range of lean methods. Should have implemented lean practices in several different plants, new product development, transactional processes or other operating environments. Proven ability to work at both detail and strategic levels. Talent for recognizing better and innovative ways to accomplish objectives. Strong project management skills. Demonstrated ability to work calmly under pressure and with frequent interruptions and application of sound judgment. English language fluency required Preferred Qualifications: Excellent communicator and team builder, Strong analytical and problem solving skills, high degree of attention to detail. MUST be comfortable conducting Lean assessments, facilitating Kaizen events, building and implementing divisional and site level improvement plans, providing hands on training and coaching of key projects and teams A good understanding of Lean principles 7 tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Just-In-Time, Demand Flow, Single Piece Flow, 5 S, Visual Management, Standard Work, Total Productive Maintenance, Continuous Improvement Process, Kaizen, A3, 3P, Problem Solving, Sustainability and SPC.
