Job Description
Candidate will be working with an R&D team in development of Flow Cytometry bench top instrumentation. Candidate will be trained on required instrumentation and processes, as well as the biotech industry as relating to carrying out duties related to R&D for Flow Cytometry.
Responsibilities:
- Operate test instrumentation and hand-tools fabrication, testing, and troubleshooting of prototype optical set-ups/hardware and assemblies.
- Writing, performing, and evaluation of system tests for optical performance.
- Participate with a team of Engineers and Scientists on a product development team.
- Documentation and communication of experimental protocol, design goals and results in a concise manner.
- Professional and respectful communication with peers and stakeholders.
- Assigned duties may include design and development of specific modules, mechanisms or components to meet design requirements.
- Experience working with ZEMAX or Solidworks is a plus
Required:
- Current enrollment in the UO Masters Industrial Internship program – Optics Track
