Job Description:

• Take the lead of identification of new opportunities using organic chemistry technology to contribute to company business requirements;
• Lead the development for new synthetic route or new process from lab to plant scale to win new business or keep IFF product portfolio competitive in the market;
• Recruit, coach and develop organic chemist to be competent for the organic synthetic projects;
• Lead the improvement of the existing processes for cost reduction;
• Coordinate with the other departments to implement new technological approaches;
• Manage the daily fiscal activities in the organic synthesis team;
• Maintain a safe and tidy laboratory and keep lab equipment in good condition;
• Implementing temporary tasks and other works from technical manager.

Required Skills:

• Ph.D. in organic chemistry. Preferably Post Doc or equivalent experience in organic synthesis area;
• The ability to develop robust and efficient experimental plans that can provide timely technical solutions to meet commercial opportunities;
• Capable of managing an innovation team to achieve good performance;
• Strong lab working skills in organic chemistry;
• Good English communication skill;
• Be able to manage multiple projects at the same time;
• Possessing good interpersonal and communication skills;
• With good organizational and planning skills;
• Strong Team player.

• +2 years experience in managing a technical or R&D team is necessary;
• +5 years working experience in the fine chemical industry is a must;
• Experiecne in a multi-cultural team is perferred;
