Job Description

Job Profile Summary:

OD & OE specialist is an experienced professional who has role in facilitating organizational improvement, and help HR operations run efficiently and effectively.

OD & OE Specialist is responsible for the formulation of organizational solutions. Will investigate alternatives and benchmark proposals against competitors and best practice. Would lead small organizational projects and contribute to the implementation of change through the understanding of new approaches and solutions.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Responsible for developing and delivery of internal culture development initiatives and programs
  • Responsible for following up on local engagement action plan
  • Lead the execution of NEMAG OD projects in Algeria
  • Ensure HR SOPs are in place through regular monitoring and follow up with Managers/employees
  • Train employees on different HR SOPs.
  • Act as first point of contact for general HR queries related to SOPs
  • Search alternatives and benchmark proposals against competitors and best practice
  • Would participate in ad-hoc project work and contribute to the design and development of new approaches and solutions
  • Provide support to the HRBP/Manager as required to ensure the smooth running of other HR projects as they arise
  • Take appropriate responsibility for records held, created or used as part of his/her work (paper-based and electronic)
  • Encourage team working and effective communication with colleagues
  • Comply with AstraZeneca policies and practices as applicable
  • Undertake other duties as may be reasonably requested of the position

Minimum Criteria:

  • For Internal candidates: Minimum 3 years’ HR experience in AstraZeneca with sustained performance record and proven record in project management.
  • For external candidates: 3-5 years’ experience in HR – preferably in Organizational Development and Project Management.
  • English & French proficiency is a must.
  • Multinational experience is a plus.
  • Very good communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with a willingness to learn and use new systems.
  • Agility to learn and self-development capabilities

  • Problem-solving skills - able to troubleshoot OD related problems and advise an alternative solutions.
