Eaton’s Electrical sector is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join our GTA Sales team. This is a Hybrid role based out of our Mississauga, Ontario facility. Position Overview: The primary function of the Outside Sales Representative is to achieve assigned Sales and Orders objectives for applicable Eaton products and services, focusing on key existing and target accounts within the GTA Construction market. The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for managing all aspects of the customer relationship, providing sales and technical assistance to distributors, customers, contractors, and consultants, to drive sustainable sales growth. Essential Responsibilities: Achieve team Orders and Sales goals Cultivate customer, channel, and internal relationships Implement sales plans and growth strategies, to achieve annual performance objectives Promote Eaton products and services to optimize sales volume, product mix, and profitability Provide technical assistance to customers and distributors Prepare sales proposals and value propositions to satisfy customer needs and expectations Understand, and be responsive to, market conditions and competitive activities; Communicate such information internally to drive corrective actions and inform Regional & District Strategies Maintain cooperative and credible working relationships with internal personnel, to consistently exceed customer expectations Develop bid strategies and quotations for customers using price and delivery guidelines, applying sound business decisions to enhance sales volume and margins Introduce new products and implement promotional programs Prepare sales presentations to create product/service/solution understanding and awareness Provide input on sales forecasts, based on negotiation activity & customer/channel feedback Understand and apply the fundamentals of the Eaton Value Cycle: Sales strategy, Market/Customer knowledge, Value proposition design, and Price for value Perform all job functions with adherence to Eaton's Philosophy and Values as well as Safety and Environmental standards When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives, and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Associate Degree/Diploma from an accredited institution in Electrical Engineering Technology, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field Minimum five (5) years of technical experience in the electrical industry No relocation benefit is being offered for this position Must be authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship Valid drivers license Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Business, Marketing, Electrical Engineering Technology, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field P Eng., CET designation, or C-Tech Minimum five (5) years of Field Sales experience or Project Closing experience Position Criteria: Strong verbal and written communication abilities Professional presence and effective presentation skills Electrical industry experience Intimate knowledge of the GTA Residential / Commercial Construction market Experience closing large orders in both single and multi-contractor (spec/bid/buy) scenarios Proven ability to develop and deploy strategies to deliver customer-focused solutions Demonstrated competency in contributing to the success of the team Analytical aptitude, ability to think critically with proven problem-solving skills Desire to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Savvy negotiator, adept at navigating and attaining mutually-agreeable resolutions to the conflict Why work at Eaton?
