Overnight Maintenance Person
As a Maintenance Person, you are responsible for carrying out appropriate maintenance work promptly and to the highest standards to deliver an excellent Guest and Colleague experience. A Maintenance Person would also be required to
follow all company statutory and legal regulatory requirements during repairs.

What you will be doing:

• Ensure a safe, clean hotel at all times and take ownership for your area
• To maintain and repair the hotel’s guest rooms and public areas
• Maintain hotel guest room and public space preventative maintenance programs
• Assist tradesmen when needed
• Must be able to do ordering through vendors and source out the products
• Report broken or misused equipment to Maintenance Office
• To be able to cover hotel steam supply and chillers (building systems) over the weekends or when necessary
• Should have thorough knowledge of the glycol system, chillers, air handling units, fan coil units, compressors, pumps
• Should be able to do/help in doing preventive maintenance on the mechanical equipment like glycol system, chillers, air
• handling units, fan coil units, compressors, pumps
• Maintain accurate reports and logs as per the hotel requirements
• Maintain compliance of all H&S programs
• Maintain a safe and hazard free work environment
• Other assigned duties as necessary to fulfill the scope and general purpose of job
• Hand tool requirements as defined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement
• Must respond as part of the Emergency Response Team
• Have complete knowledge of hotel fire standards and procedures

Your experience and skills include:

• Must be available to work weekends
• Working knowledge of computerized Building Maintenance Systems is an asset
• Working knowledge of HVAC and A.H.U. systems and chiller operations
• Minor plumbing, electrical and carpentry knowledge
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

• Must be willing and able to perform duties of a physical nature- often required to push, pull and lift heavy items (greater
• than 20kg)
• Frequent standing and walking throughout shift for up to 8hrs
• Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
