Mars Petcare are currently seeking a Pack and Process (P&P) Cost of Goods (COGS) Leader to join the Research and Development team based in Wodonga.

 

As the Pack and Process (P&P) Cost of Goods (COGS) Leader, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and deploying packaging and process design solutions, and will be manage the reduction in cost of goods across the Wet, Dry, and Care and Treats products for Australia and New Zealand. You will form a strong a partnership with product developers on process and product designs and ensure approved changes are implemented and meet all stakeholder quality, food safety, and sustainability requirements.

 

What would be your key responsibilities?

•    Partner with internal teams in Supply, Commercial, Finance, Marketing and Suppliers to define project activities, timelines, risks, costs, and resource requirements. 
•    Participate in ideation sessions, co leading charter development, and lead R&D aspects of COGS reduction projects.
•    Plan and execute factory trials and support factory implementation and first make.
•    Support with rectifying any manufacturing issues and provide technical support to R&D Pack & Process team members across Wodonga and Bathurst factory sites.

What are we looking for?

•    Extensive experience in Manufacturing from a similar pack and process environment, with exposure in R&D, Quality, Engineering, or a related technical function.
•    Proven success delivering packaging and process design and development.
•    Sound working knowledge of Pet food packaging, quality, food safety and sustainability requirements.
•    Ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
