Global Business Services (GBS) is the heart of the AZ Finance function. We are accountable for the design and delivery of high quality, simple to operate transactional finance processes which, combined with outstanding business analysis and insight, enables our customers to focus on AZ’s strategic priorities. Our remit covers record to report, procure to pay and order to cash, tax, planning & forecasting and management reporting, to customers across AZ Globally in Commercial, Science, Operations & Enabling Functions, Tax, Treasury and Group Finance. AstraZeneca’s Finance function is continuing its transformation journey with the objective of delivering excellence in financial operations.

Role Summary

As a P2P Senior Analyst, you are responsible to carry out invoice processing activities within a specified process area to meet the needs of both internal and external customers in accordance with agreed service levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a professional and consistent service to customers.

  • Perform the various tasks related to handling transaction processing independently, including resolving complex queries and investigations in a timely manner in the area of P2P.

  • Assist the team to review entries posted to ensure accuracy. Carry out AP closing activities accurately including preparing and analyse BS reconciliation reports within specified timescales.

  • Prepares and produces monthly reports as assigned; identifies long outstanding items reflected in the accounts.

  • Support Team Lead to review the important metrics related to P2P function and provide commentaries where required.

  • Contribute to development/changes in systems and process improvement initiatives as outlined in APBS scorecard.

  • Work collaboratively with internal customers and stakeholders.

  • Involve in activities to enhance the effectiveness of the team. Provide technical guidance or coaching and allocating work to others with minor supervision role. May need to supervise a group of team members in a specified process area.

  • Assist to review compliance to key controls as identified in the FCF/SOX documentation.

  • Involve in ad hoc activities or project.

  • Back up responsibilities of Team Lead during his/her absence.

Essential Requirements

  • You have a Degree in Accounting & Finance/ ACCA or equivalent.

  • You should have at least 2-4 years of accounting work experiences

  • Graduates and candidates pursuing a professional qualification (Part Time) in ACCA, CIMA or any other relevant qualification are encouraged to apply.

  • Knowledge and experience in SAP, Oracle or other ERP system will be an added advantage

  • Experience of working in a shared service centre across a global /large organization is preferred.

  • Good communication skill and able to communicate effectively in English.

  • Proficiency in Japanese language is required (reading, writing and speaking).
