Job Description

PASTRY SOUS CHEF FOR SOUTH ASIAN CUISINE

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and execute unique pastry and baking recipes
  • Develop customized cakes and bakes goods for events and special occasions
  • Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas
  • Train the pastry team on techniques, ingredients, and equipment
  • Develop specialized menus and manage the pastry program for our South Asian concept restaurants

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of pastry experience in highly rated restaurants with robust pastry programmes
  • International experience with ability to manage and spearhead pastry programmes for various cuisines, including South Asian, Indian, and Middle Eastern
  • Ability to mentor and coach a team of pastry cooks with varying levels of experience
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with restaurant teams and guests

Job Type: Full-time

Experience:

  • Sous Chef: 1 year (Preferred)
  • line cook: 1 year (Preferred)
