Job Description
Position Description: • PBM (Procurement Brand Manager) is a Project Manager role in Smart Devices Procurement organization, representing procurement function in Product Offering Core Delivery Team. • Work with Product Offering Team members including OTM, Mktg, Dev and NPI manufacturing / GPSM team etc. to deliver successful new product time to market and time to volume with competitive technology and cost so as to keep Lenovo leading in SmartEdge/IoT industry. • Project Management to deliver product with right sourcing strategy, RFQ, cost, supply and complexity for standard models and OEM/Special Bid models support • Parts source alignment and risk management along product development phase and lifecycle • Procurement data and dashboard system enablement and support in PDx and NPI checkpoints • Key parts complexity and single source management and risk mitigation #### Position Requirements: • 6+ years of sourcing experience in RFQ/cost/supply/NPI/EOL transition management etc. • Experience with SmartEdge/IoT industry and technologies with Tier1/2/3 supplier base, AVL and operation/sourcing model which is different than PC industry • Basic to Advance Knowledge of SmartEdge/IoT supply chain, cost and ODM/component supplier practices • Understand e2e product life cycles, design/development activity vs supplier support readiness • Early engage and understand product MRD and align tech spec/ID to drive RFQ cycles with GCMs • Conduct resource evaluation based on portfolio/project change/ABO and drive proactive actions • Familiar with MFG global footprint, in-house/ODM sourcing model and business case alignment • Lead/Conduct/Support various NPI checkpoints (PKO, EBR, BC, SCAR, SCRR, MDRR, SVT, SS, …) • Align PM cost target/TEC ”should be” with cost team/RD/GCM and help drive gap closure • Own and align source plan with GCM/RD/PM/ODM – manage single/sole source exception approvals and drive product sourcing closer with GCM prior to BC checkpoint • Manage PCR along product lifecycle to ensure source/cost/supply/complexity/risk mitigation aligned between GSC and BU Segment • Drive/engage in strategic discussion on sourcing and new supplier development to expand AVL • Good collaboration/communication skill with cross functions including but not limited to all related GCM/GSM/RD/PM/OTM/Cost/Portfolio/SBB teams – strong team player and individual contributor • Strong xls, ppt presentation and communication skills in English as well as Chinese • Accountable for product launch success and able to measure/present progress regularly • Result oriented, professional and be able to work independently with minimum supervision • Creative and innovative thinking to solve Customer issues/problems and create WIN-WIN • Prior work experience in a company with global team and operation a Plus • Bachelor+ degree in business, engineering etc. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any federal, state, or local protected class.
