Job Description
This candidate will be a member of a multi-disciplinary team and develop design methodologies, implement PCB design flow solutions, and provide application engineering support to exploit and expand use of Mentor Graphics Xpedition products. The candidate will need strong communication skills consulting and presenting to customers to articulate how the Mentor Graphics Xpedition tool suite will help them to maximize the performance of the leading edge technologies in their designs. The candidate will need to point out gaps in the customers design flow, and articulate what is possible to increase the customer’s design capability while driving efficiencies in their development flow to meet their Time-To-Market (TTM) goals with high quality. The candidate must have experience in PCB design, with knowledge of PCB design data management, and the ability to understand and accommodate customer IT architectures to develop PCB design flow solutions. We are looking for a person who is or can grow into a technical leadership position, potentially guiding new recruits in support of the overall System Practice. The candidate will liaison with our EBS product division, especially in areas of advanced development, customizations, and maintenance of consulting generated applications used in advanced processes in our customer base. Minimum Qualifications: BS degree with strong engineering background. Minimum of 5 years of experience in PCB Design. Knowledge of programming and scripting languages. Strong analytical, problem-solving, programming and trouble shooting skills. Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Self-motivated and have the ability to work effectively. Preferred Qualifications: Electrical Engineering degree / MS degree Strong knowledge in EDM design & library methodology, and PCB design flow. Experience with Mentor Graphics Xpedition tools.
