About the job
Our computational challenges are so big, complex and unique we can't just purchase off-the-shelf hardware, we've got to make it ourselves. Your team designs and builds the hardware, software and networking technologies that power all of Google's services. As a Hardware Engineer, you design and build the systems that are the heart of the world's largest and most powerful computing infrastructure. You develop from the lowest levels of circuit design to large system design and see those systems all the way through to high volume manufacturing. Your work has the potential to shape the machinery that goes into our cutting-edge data centers affecting millions of Google users.
As a PCB Design Manager for Google Nest team, you will manage the PCB Design team and do some board layout designs for consumer devices. You'll lead development of next generation PCB design technology and have impact across our consumer product portfolio. Your team will work with cross-functional teams and external vendors throughout the full product development life-cycle, supporting PCB outline, component placement, and routing. Your team will also work as an integral part of the Product Development team, interfacing with external fabricators or vendors to apply state of the art industry standards, tools, and technologies.
In this role, you'll design and provide technical leadership to other projects and manage a team of PCB layout engineers. You'll provide guidance to your team throughout the entire product development cycle while contributing to improving processes and developing your team. Additionally, you will contribute technical and leadership experience to manage the team to complete designs on time and with high quality.
