PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Eaton is developing in Prague Engineering Center a team to participate in industrial automation business. This team provides new products developments together with other Eaton teams in Europe and rest of the world, in order to ensure ICPD business can provide the best portfolio of products and solutions to grow.
Eaton is looking for Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Designer, dedicated to maximizing the value and effectiveness of our delivery teams by bringing modern, innovative PCB layout techniques and tools to our solutions ; he/she supports new product development in all phases (design, implementation, ...), and provides support for industrialization and validation of products
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform all aspects of PCB design
- Discuss technical parameters with electronic designers
- Analyzes and defines technology parameters of PCB production
- Defines PCB stack up
- Cooperates with Mechanical design team for assemblies, conflict analysis and tolerance chain analysis
- Maintain component library
- Creates new components and pad stacks
- Estimates efforts and plans for PCB designs
- Assist project teams in determining appropriate quality goals and acceptance criteria
- Respects and promote Eaton quality process and tools (6sigma, etc…)
- Support Operation and Maintenance activities (may lead visible Root Cause Analysis)
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Education: Engineer, B.S., M.S. or equivalent
- Good knowledge and experience in
- PCB design
- Schematic reading
- Quality Tools and Test Process (DFSS…)
- Gerber handling
- Mentor Expedition expertise
- DX Designer
- EMC best practice
- Copper current density analysis
- Following specialties are nice to have
- Spoken English or German
- Knowledge of HW power electronic boards appreciated
- Teamwork
Additional Qualifications:
- Collaboration with electronics design teams in the organization
- Understand the quality requirements for a product
- Ability to propose improvements and analyze failures
