Purpose of the Position:
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for managing the production flow of vehicles through all production shops and ensuring all broadcast documentation is programmed accurately in the systems. In addition, the publishing and analysis of production results and related reports and the development of countermeasures, as needed.

Essential Functions:
Ensure all broadcast documentation – broadcast sheets, HSU cards, labels, etc. is programmed to reflect the latest status for parts and option codes using PLUS and FIAG. Set up the logic in the PLUS system to link the correct identifiers with the codes.
Manage changes to the broadcast documentation based on request from Series Planning Engineering through the IT based CISM systems.
Align the parts assigned to receiver groups and set up consumption groups in PLUS / FIAG with Engineering Change Control to ensure that the right parts are displayed on the broadcast sheets.
Configure PLUS checkpoints for broadcast to different suppliers to ensure that the supply base works in lock-step with the pearl chain being built at the plant.
Support in creating identifiers to print specific documentation for specific vehicles (Ex. CoC papers).
Program the printers printing barcodes / labels and documentation on the shop floor to ensure that the printed documentation can be scanned by automated equipment. Troubleshoot and develop countermeasures as applicable.
Perform first level diagnosis of system errors, interface with Engineering, IT and other departments to resolve problems.
Apply the Practical Problem Solving Method where applicable.
Support the plant control function by reviewing the Operational Schedule to account for over-/under production situations, ensuring at all time an appropriate balance of inventory through all shops and buffers.
Manage the inventory content across all shops including the Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) based upon the requirements of the Operationalized Schedule.
Co-ordinate with the control rooms in each shop to react effectively in response to downtime, breakdown and plan countermeasures to minimize impact to downstream production.
Control and monitor Block Requests, assessing the impact on the shops to determine feasibility of implementation and implement these upon confirmation.
Manage the Roll-Out of vehicles into assembly Shop according to SP Restrictions and escalate as required. Ensure that vehicles maintain their Roll-Out sequence and manage violations. Monitor the fill levels of the Pre-Trim Buffers in Assembly Shops and escalate as required.
Publish various production results related reports.
Communicate carry-over issues via the Shift Log. Analyze issues to prevent reoccurrences and propose countermeasures to ensure sustainable improvement.
Perform tasks in accordance to MBUSI Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery targets. Apply Plan-Do-Check-Act (PCDA) methods for daily work functions.
Perform safe work practices and participate in trainings and safety programs in a positive and proactive way by following safety rules, procedures, regulations, standards and laws. Report all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and injuries to supervisor or Human Resources.
Work safely 100% of the time.
Perform other duties as required.
