Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Develop strategic development plan that aligns with Regional and Corporate goals and objectives

  • Stay abreast of regional market conditions

  • Manage vendor relationship and liaise with Sr. Director on Vendor Capabilities if needed

  • Leverage global fitting standards within different product categories

  • Set up tooling library, control Life circle and amortization.

  • Overall responsibility for quality product Development according to market needs and requirements

  • Implement programs to support and complement Sample production and technical development within the design and development process

  • Actively manage internal and external relationships through performance management quantitative and qualitative metrics (KPIs)

  • Ensure quality compliance and technical expertise is in place to support business needs

  • Allocate a balanced workload within the PD team to ensure stable performance throughout the Department

  • Establish Costing control system to ensure margin targets, best cost are in place. Liaise with Division on early margin call outs.

  • Perform other duties assigned by management.


Requirements:

  • 15+ years in Product Development and global sourcing specializing in footwear with at least 7 + years’ experience at the senior management level.

  • Ideal candidate must have premium European brand experience and exposure to full breath of footwear categories.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects with adherence to deadlines.

  • Detail oriented/innovative traits are necessary.

  • Total quality and ‘product is king’ mindset.

  • Ability to find the best solutions and develop methods to improve efficiency, speed to market and operational excellence.

  • Flexible to adapt to changing business trends and/or ad hoc projects

  • Implement technical solutions based on market response to support different requirements.

  • Ability to synthesize issues and draw valid actionable conclusions from established facts. Root cause analysis and corrective action plans.

  • Proven ability to establish and build relationships across the organization and with Supply Chain partners

  • Strong negotiating skills in diverse cultural environments

  • Implement efficient workflows cross departments to ensure on time deliverables

  • Train and guide teams to become best in class.
