JOB SUMMARY

The Product Development Engineer (PDE) plays a key role in the PD organization to ensure product launch starting from ID conceptual design to ramp phase.

The qualified candidate should possess a passionate character with attention to detail and desire for perfection. Preference towards persons with experience in fabric welding for dry/waterproof bags. A logical mind with analytical engineering sense would benefit the candidate in aligning customer expectations with internal development needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

? As a proactive cross-functional teammate within teams & departments

? As a leading role of developer starting at the ID concept towards ramp phase

? As a key contact window with client ID/PD/Engineering

? Define and establish program engineering documents including:

o BOM

o Process Flow Chart

o 2D/3D in product, tooling

o Tooling DFM/Process DFA

o MIP

o SOP

? Define and implement DOE to tackle technical issues on tooling/material/product construction/geometry & aesthetic/process parameter

? Deliver up-to-date progress of development to PD Manager

? Intensive communication with tooling and material vendors to ensure on-time deliverables conform to specification and up-to-date revision

? Continually review product performance and process and when indicated makes recommendations within policy guidelines concerning product performance as reflected by accumulated data.

QUALIFICATIONS

? 3-5 years experience in new product development

? Bachelor’s Degree in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering

? Strong experience in 3D CAD

? Experience in engineering documentation like, DFM/DFA, FMEA, Flow Chart, MIP, etc.

? Strong understanding in manufacturing process such as plastic injection molding, metal stamping, CNC machining, with a preference towards fabric welding for dry/waterproof bags

? Ability to work in team-based and multi-cultural environment

? Detail-minded and wiling to learn from new technology

? Ability to complete tasks under pressure and within a tight deadline

? Good command of written/spoken English and Mandarin

? Ability to create and review technical documentation
