GENERAL FUNCTION

Reporting to the Materials Director, this role is responsible to populate and maintain PD materials database for all WWW brands, aligning to Materials team, Costing team, and PD teams to ensure timely delivery of the seasonal materials needs.

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Obtain/chase seasonal material lists from all 12 brands /Asia PD from Proto 1 according to development calendar.

• Compile global materials list for all 12 brands.

• Validate correct identity with suppliers and communicate this to all brands/PD

• Clean and eliminate duplicates, create uniform identity for same materials across all brands.

• Populate all relevant information around each material entry to include price, specification and UoM.

• Layer out and agree laminated /composite materials with shoe factories/Asia PD/costing teams.

• Communicate, follow up and amend/drop/add brand changes throughout development period with PD/costing/brand to ensure final GLL is accurate in the database.

• Extensive communication with material suppliers when ordering appropriate swatches in preferred colors/correct size/correct labelling.

• Receive, log and register material swatches into database, linking the appropriate material in brand seasonal lists.

• Responsible for taking clear and precise photographs of materials and uploading the images to the database (in line with approved photograph guidance).

• Responsible for duplicate elimination and maintenance of the image files.

• Responsible to upload required custom color images for leather following master swatch approvals.

• Responsible for seasonal material price updates.
  

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

• Computer literate, MS Office applications & MS Outlook. Experience in database management is advantageous.

• Graphic design background with Adobe photoshop, illustrator or indesign experience preferred.

• Excellent time management and communication skills

• Ability to multitask in a fast-moving environment, highly organized with excellent attention to detail.

• Mandarin Chinese speaker preferred. Written and spoken English essential.
  

WORKING CONDITIONS

Based at one of the Wolverine offices situated in factory environment (as assigned, one year contract and signed with 3rd party).
