To support the Physical Education Lead Teacher in maintaining class structure and behaviour throughout the sessions.
Support school activities including extra-curricular activities, fixtures and tournaments across Pok Fu Lam Prep as required.
Reporting to: Physical Education Lead, Pok Fu Lam Campus
Working Hours: 8.00am – 4.00pm (term time only), however, we will require some flexibility with hours.
The post-holder will contribute to maintaining the high profile of PE & Sports activities in the Kellett Community.
KEY TASKS AND DUTIES
- To support with the organisation and set up of equipment of PE and Games lessons
- To support student learning within a lesson under the direction of the PE teacher
- To support the PE teacher with general administrative duties
- To support curriculum swimming
- Reporting: To input grades and reports on students’ progress throughout the school year
- To support or lead before school and after-school ECAs (0730-0815 and 1515- 1615) and support the dismissal and collection of children from after-school ECAs including the supervision of students who are collected late
- To undertake supervision duties during the school day (e.g. at break times)
- To accompany and supervise students for home and away sports fixtures, including attending international competitions such as FOBISIA (which may entail nights away from Hong Kong)
CANDIDATE PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
Coaching and Teaching Sport
- To have experience of playing and coaching at least one of Kellett’s Major Sports to a
- high level
- To have relevant Sport Governing Body Coaching Qualifications - or be prepared to undertake them
- To hold a swimming Life-Saving qualification (Bronze Medallion) - or be prepared to undertake one provided by the Kellett swimming programme
- To have some experience of working with primary aged children and the of delivery of the key fundamental skills for aiding movement and body development.
- To have excellent behaviour management skills
General and Administrative
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel including mail merge and spreadsheets
- Interpersonal skills and attention to detail
- Independent, competent to work under pressure
- Familiarity of working in Google Classroom and Seesaw is an advantage
