Objective of Job

This position will work as a member of R&D Testing Team, supporting heavy-duty trucks testing mainly in the fields of NVH and PEMS (vehicle emission) tests.
The primary objective of this role is to be responsible for entire-vehicle testing activities, working closely with the design engineers to ensure resolution and successful validation in accordance with test plans and test procedures. Besides to integrate test results to internal engineering and other project teams for successful validation of Daimler and homologation requirements.

Description of main tasks:
• functional testing of mechatronic systems (braking-, steering-, driving-, camera-based) and HMI accordingly from customer point of view after every software release, validation of maturity level, adjustment of software parameters to optimize features
• collection and analysis of measurement data of use cases for mechatronic systems, malfunctions and complaints with appropriate tools, working on optimizations together with feature responsibles
• set up customer field testing, collecting and working on customer feedbacks and measurement data
• alignment of test methodology, acceptance criteria and use cases for global released applications with testing in Germany and feature responsible for global features, exchange of test results
• definition of new test procedures, acceptance criteria and use cases for China specific applications
• coordination of an efficient reliability testing for local developed applications, participation at release workshops
consideration of local homologation regulations and requirements for mechatronic systems
• participation at marketing events to present and explain systems and features
