This is a PE Verification Engineer role reporting to the Engineering Manager II in the Business Area – Motion, Drive Products located in Beijing, China. You will be part of Engineering team, which is responsible for implementing design changes and modifications to our products in active lifecycle. The modifications are driven by quality improvement, market requirements and cost targets. As a verification engineer you will be responsible for verifying the design changes and new components and development of testing and verification methods and equipment. You will be working in close cooperation with our end customers, product engineers, R&D, product manager and suppliers, taking the responsibility of maintaining the actively manufacturing products at Beijing factory.

Your responsibilities

• Working as a member of Drives Product engineering & Quality department, reporting to the Engineering team leader.
• Compilation of verification plans and test-case specifications for products and components.
• Building up the test setup and working on implementation of test cases.
• Tracking and analyzing testing, solving the problem encountered in the test process.
• Writing the test reports in English language.
• Developing test methodologies and equipment in collaboration with global engineering function, developing automated test arrangements.
• Taking responsibility of actively manufacturing products compliance.

Your background

• Bachelor or above in electrical/power automation related major, Electrical/Electronic, control science or Automation Engineering is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience of working in laboratory with common electrical / electronic measuring equipment (oscilloscope etc.).
• Understanding of AC Drive technology, ABB drive product, good knowledge of Power electronic components (Capacitors, Inductors, Semiconductors, Choke) are preferred.
• Certification knowledge such as UL, CSA, organizational and technical documentation skills required.
• Experience of testing and qualification of AC drive according to internal and external requirements, knowledge of electrical standard particularly AC Drive related standard, experience of EMC and reliability testing, component testing, automation testing and PLC programming experience are preferred.
• Proactive attitude, ability to work independently, good communication and presentation skills required, good team working ability and good English communications (both verbal and written).
