As a PLC Technical Support Engineer you will be responsible for providing pre/post-sales support for Drive Product (DP) customers, partners and sales team, in Motion in Beijing, China. Reporting to the Sales Support Manager, you will develop key partners and sales team technical competence of PLC products for DP.

Your responsibilities

  • Being a product owner role of PLC in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) team, coordinating with regional technical support resource to handle PLC technical issues
  • Gathering and escalating PLC quality, new feature demands and FW/SW bugs with quality function and R&D center
  • Supporting customers in bidding documents, PLC selection, configuration, library usage, program conversion, field commissioning and filed quality problem handling
  • Giving product technical training to channel partners and end user to promote DP products and help to improve overall technical competence
  • Gathering customer pilot feedback and competitor intelligence to Product Management and Product Marketing
  • Documenting responsibilities of product technical and market material, such as flyer, catalogue and user’s manual, including translation and proofreading. Working together with Germany team to maintain and localize the documentations in manuals and on-line help

Your background

  • 5 years of experience in engineering or technical support related to automation or drive products.
  • Strong customer focus awareness, problem solving and consultation skills
  • A bachelor and above degree in Power Electronics, Electrical/Electronic or Automation Engineering is preferred
  • Good English and Chinese communication skills
  • Must be willing to travel frequently and provide detail travel reports
