The role of Project Manager will be responsible for leading a team of cross functional experts in the delivery of customer focused programs and services and will support the development and implementation of project, product and program strategies in order to continue to deliver value to the business and our customers. The successful candidate will be based at our large facility in Suzhou, China and will join the team in the Project Management Office.
We are looking for a passionate, customer oriented manager who is able to drive results in a changing environment, using team collaboration and a disciplined approach to enable the fast, thorough and successful execution of projects.
The Right Person:
- Requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management in a diverse organisation to ensure outcomes and deliverables are met
- Ability to work with and influence management teams and reach alignment on goals
- Experience in modeling business cases and analysing the impact of resource allocation on business outcomes.
- Reviews program proposals and plans to determine the time frame, funding requirements, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements and allotment of additional resources to various phases of the programs.
- Experience in large-scale project management with demonstrated discipline in project scoping, costing, benefits realisation and stakeholder communications; as well as risks, issues, and dependencies
- Ability to identify potential solutions to project challenges and proactively negotiate resolution with multiple stakeholders, while remaining objective and driving the best outcomes for the business
- Working knowledge of process design for quality and efficiency (e.g. Lean, DFA, FMEA) would be a strong addition
- Ability to develop and implement profitability improvement projects across a decentralised organization
- Ability to facilitate large and small group working sessions across all levels and varying functions of the organisation.
- Ability to lead the management of multiple concurrent programs across the region.

- A decisive and result-oriented individual who can lead tactical execution.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate data and information professionally, effectively, persuasively and on a timely basis to diverse individuals and groups inside and outside of the organisation.
- Proven understanding of how to work within a Project Management Organisation, with solid knowledge of PMO disciplines, such as project lifecycle, scope definition and management, planning and scheduling, monitoring, communication cycles, managing project teams and risk management.
Responsibilities:
- Organise, plan and direct program or project schedules and budgets
- Responsible for tracking relevant metrics and drive action items based on trends and results.
- Oversee interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of all commitments made relative to project timelines, delivery, quality and the required business metrics.
- Review program proposals and plans to determine timeframe, funding requirements, procedures for accomplishing the program, staffing requirements and allotment of additional resources to various phases of the program.
- Establishes work plan and resources for each phase of the program, and support the recruitment or assignment of personnel.
- Ability to identify potential solutions to project challenges and proactively negotiate resolution with multiple stakeholders, while remaining objective and driving the best outcomes for the business
- Lead projects with cross functional teams through various phases of the project, and/or product life cycle phases
- Be a key channel of PMO communication for internal and external customers and act as escalation in the event of customer issues regarding the project
- A decisive individual who possesses a "big picture" perspective and is well versed in systems
- Support customer satisfaction reviews and containment and permanent corrective actions.
- Monitor and track that project or program deliverables are met and enhance the internal reporting process.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related field
- At least 5 years work experience in Project Management or Program Management
- Preferred experience in transferring production lines
- Excellent communication (verbal & written), presentation, interpersonal, and customer service skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure
- Financial know-how and preferred work experience in Engineering , Supply Chain, Manufacturing
- Proficient with MS-Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and Smartsheet is a plus
- Proficiency and demonstrated experience in working with MS Project
- Must understand program financials and technical engineering terminology
- Experience in Electronics industry is a plus
- PMP certification preferred
