In this role you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and support for targeted Siemens Healthineers Point of Care (POC) cardiac customers throughout NAM (Unites States and Canada). Education offered by you is designed to assist in customers’ clinical understanding while promoting acceptance of new processes/products, driving daily routine assay use for the long-term, always with focus to increase top-line revenue, maintain margin and profitability. Not surprisingly, your unique clinical consultant services offered are also designed to support the sales strategy. Indeed, this central position works collaboratively with sales, marketing, technical application services, and other core functional groups. Key Responsibilities: Account Strategic Support Provide clinical support to a variety of customers throughout the hospital, EMS and POL settings to assist with the interpretation and application of Siemens-Healthineers POC products. Education is provided through both formal and informal programs and customized to meet the customer needs. Curate and monitor metrics dashboard (cartridges utilization) for strategic accounts (strategic accounts to be defined together with NAM and local commercial leads). Develop strategies and work with local teams to plan customized actions to increase RCOS consumption (post sale monitoring). Support and provide strategic accounts with additional clinical training on proper testing technique and interpretation of results, if necessary. Team Sales Support Develop effective relationships within the internal team. Provide input on the team's strategy to appropriately manage educational targets in territory. Provide value added services such as continuous education offerings, lunch-and-learns and customized training around the products and product integration into the clinical pathways. Present data that is in alignment with assigned product IFU and related documentation. Implementation of clinical training (testing technique and results interpretation) in strategic accounts (post sale intervention). Develop tools and support teams to assess sites standard of practice and clinical workflow including questions to ask and pre-sale intervention. Collaborate with team members in recognizing and managing troubleshooting opportunities in accounts to protect business. This may include but is not limited to working on-site to verify accuracy of user-technique and identifying potential obstacles that might impact continued success. Understand competitive issues and identify competitor’s products in accounts to communicate back to the account executive. Develop communication and accountability expectations among team members to cultivate team success. Recognize new business opportunities and coordinate plans of action with team members. Clinical Consultant Requirements Broad fund of knowledge regarding pathophysiology, relevant clinical guidelines, pertinent literature, and current trends in healthcare related to assigned products. Expert understanding and delivery of ACS guideline and other seminal documents such as “The 4th Universal Definition NSTEMI” (Circulation). Profound and demonstrable understanding of cardiac biomarkers including high sensitivity troponin and natriuretic peptides. Clinical/nursing background which will support your prescription of optimal chest pain clinical, operational, and financial workflow improvements in the emergency care setting. Experience with health economic modeling and ability to articulate and persuade relevant stakeholders including C-suite. Availability upon request, for meetings with key decision makers to discuss clinical topics (pre-sale intervention). Collaboration with peers on new/ongoing team projects. Polished, confident, and professional presentation and communication skills. Comfortable presenting to small groups as well as large, esoteric audiences both in-person and via TEAMS/Webex formats. Understand basic conflict management, resolving customer challenges to advance the relationships and build brand loyalty. Initiate and attend online clinical and commercial internal and customer conference calls. Attend and participate in trade shows, advisory board, speaker bureaus and the like as requested. Support the build-up of an NAM KOL network and support symposia as needed. Understand administrative reporting responsibilities: maintain and submit accurate and timely customer progress reporting. Manage time and travel within set corporate guidelines and policy as established using best business practice as directed by manager. Exhibit appropriate level of business maturity and etiquette. Required education/experience, skills, and qualifications: Minimum 10 years IVD commercial experience, specifically POC platforms such as cardiac (hs-cTn and NPs) and other ACS and HF related decision parameters highly desirable Professional Nursing License (RN) Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent Advanced degree(s)/certificates preferred Minimum of 5 years of continuous nursing experience in either ED/ICU/CCU/CCL or Heart Failure clinic is required. Emergency department experience highly desirable Management or supervisory experience preferred, with business background Lab familiarity/experience/confidence preferred The position requires 3-4 days of travel per week in the region/zones that may include multiple overnights (3-4 overnights per week). During certain account activities such as new implementations (1-2 weeks), additional days of travel may be necessary. Travel may require many modes of transportation including but not limited to automobiles, airplanes, and trains. This position requires a high degree of flexibility with the ability to work both independently and within a team. Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills as you would have demonstrated as a health practitioner are necessary to successfully present the Siemens-Healthineers POC message to individuals and groups in a professional manner.
