The PoC team is new and was conceived to accelerate portfolio optimization and product discovery by testing ideas and concepts in a well-founded but agile way. Inspect, adapt, learn fast, and – if we must – fail fast. Your new field of activity – challenging and future oriented In this role you will understand and refine initial requirements quickly, start coding as swiftly as possible. In addition, you will perform several Proofs-of-Concept (PoCs) in parallel (roughly 16 weeks per PoC). Systematically you will assess ideas for new products to minimize risk and invest. And last not least, you will verify technical feasibility of areas of innovation with potential to commercialize. Furthermore, you will be responsible for Consulting with other technical experts in DI PA SW to develop a workable foundation for the PoCs to come (tool chain, technology, etc.). Providing technical guidance and onboarding (technology stack, architecture, coding best practices, testing, etc.) to the development teams. Planning and coding the PoCs, with changing virtual teams. Collaborating with selected customers and prospects (requirements, reviews). Working with internal stakeholders such as Development House and Integration Center. Acting an ambassador for latest technologies and solutions in DI PA SW. Your qualifications – well founded and adequate A Degree in software engineering or computer science or equivalent qualification from reputable university or college. You bring with several years’ work experience in similar function ideally from a relevant business environment. You have a solid Knowledge in the SW business for engineering and lifecycle management in process industries combined with in-depth technical knowledge for SW development methods, tools, and trends (cloud, edge, etc.) We would like to see your experience in SW development based on latest technology and methods You are highly creative, ambitious to drive innovative, open minded and bring with strong analytical skills Excellent communication skills, rounded by fluent level in English while German language here is advantageous not a must Make your mark in our exciting world at Siemens.
