Position Overview: This PPAP Coordinator has overall responsibility for ensuring product compliance and approval requirements are defined, documented, and communicated to internal and external customers. In this function you will: Sets and administrates PPAP schedule for Carol Steam PPAP Group Liaison on PPAP inquiries with Mexico site(s) PPAP Group Member of New Part Kick-Off team Member of New Technology Review team Member of daily tool room GEMBA Manages PPAP and IMDS systems, completing all paperwork as required for tracking and timely submittal, and document control including forms and or work instructions and inactivation of part files. Manages and maintains sample parts retention library Ensures accuracy and content of PPAP submissions Team Participant in APQP phase reviews Communicate professionally with peers and customers regarding PPAP (e.g., incorporation of customer specific requirements, control plans, PFMEAs, MSA, SPC and IMDS) requirements and expectations. Coordinate course of action with Program Management/Engineering on new part / new technology analysis and specification conformance issues. Comply with all company procedures, policies, work instructions, and Eaton EQMS/IATF16949/EMS-14001 requirements. Participate in team activities as required (e.g., audits, Corrective Actions, 5s) Follow all rules, regulations and work processes set forth by the company Other duties as deemed necessary to meet the needs of the business and the Customer Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Required: High school diploma or equivalent 3+ years’ work experience within an automotive manufacturing industry. Working knowledge of IATF / AIAG requirements related to product approval process Working knowledge of GD&T (certification a plus) Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution Stamping Environment expertise desired. Experience and application of Automotive industry Core Tools (DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, MSA, SPC) preferred. Experience with root cause analysis, SPC knowledge, technically able to utilize measuring equipment and gauges. Demonstrated ability to understand written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively across functional teams, suppliers and customers is required. Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Email) Minitab & Adobe Acrobat and various software systems for logging and tracking results. Detailed oriented, strong time management and organizational skills, and collaborative mentality. Position Criteria: Stamping Environment expertise desired.
