Job Description
  • Forms part of a team focused on building the firm's profile and reputation.
  • Supports the firm's media relations strategy focused on business and legal media outlets in conjunction with the PR agency team across Asia.
  • Develops and manages communications strategies for key firm-wide campaigns/ initiatives.
  • Manages the firm's social media channels.
  • Ensures that all internal messages are consistent with and help promote the firm's employer value proposition and desired market position.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Creating and developing strong relationships with key internal stakeholders.
  • Working with direct manager, BD team and partners to identify topics, trends and secure media coverage .
  • In conjunction with the PR agency, drafting and publishing media releases regarding key matters being undertaken by the firm.
  • Assisting Head of Marketing Asia to define and implement strategies to protect the firm's reputation.
  • Supporting the Asia practice group and BD content for the firm's website and intranet and acting as Asia's representative for global intranet and website development activities.
  • Sourcing / writing / editing / internally publishing updates about key firm news.
  • Work with PR agency to handle media training and coaching for senior partners.
  • Overseeing content for major media surveys e.g. partnership surveys.
  • Maintaining awards calendar, liaising with the Marketing team to identify and coordinate major award entries for the firm.
  • Maintaining Directory calendar and liaising with Marketing team to ensure key directories submissions are completed including Chambers, Legal 500 etc.
  • Being responsible for key internal newsletters.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
  • Strong media relations experience
  • Excellent writing, editing and proof reading skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • A minimum of 6-years working in a PR, media, corporate or professional services environment.
  • Experience of adhering to in-house writing guidelines.
  • Proven ability to support communications campaigns and strategies.
  • Law firm (or other professional services firm) experience, including understanding of legal media and journalists preferred.
  • Strong client service focus.
  • Strategic and creative thinker.
  • Ability to work as part of a close team and be a team player.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
