Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services and Systems division is hiring a PSA - Lead Field Service Engineer - Cyber Security to join our team. This position will be based out of our Delta, BC facility. Position Overview: The Power Systems Automation (PSA) group is a full-service systems integrator with the capabilities to integrate the necessary equipment and technologies, to provide a complete and secure, power automation solution. As part of the PSA Team, providing power management solutions, this role will also lead will be the lead on cybersecurity solutions. The cyber security lead will either perform or will train selected members of the PSA Team to perform security assessments of customer’s OT network and products that may include vulnerability and risk assessments, threat analysis, and security code reviews to identify potential design and implementation vulnerabilities. Support the designs and development of security features for products including systems, applications and/or solutions. Provide product security engineering recommendations and resolve integration and testing issues. In this function you will: Work with other PSA Team member to provide power monitoring solutions as part of Eaton’s standard offerings. Provide regular briefings for the PSA team regarding the latest cyber security concerns, vulnerabilities, and advise on best practices. Present to customers on Eaton cybersecurity service strategy and work with Sales and Marketing to provide technical Sales support Train other field engineers on cybersecurity best practices Develop understanding of the company’s and competitor’s automation and power management systems and services. Work with the Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (CoE) in planning and performing threat, risk assessment and developing countermeasures in line with industry standards Provide applied engineering and consultation to customers in the areas of system integration, installation, start-up, maintenance, repair, training and modification of power management, control, and mission critical systems. Be involved in the analysis and handling of security vulnerabilities and incidents in collaboration with Product Cybersecurity CoE Support Sales in identifying, quoting, and scoping projects for sales opportunities Perform troubleshooting of IT Networking, including all layers of OSI model (cabling to application protocols) Perform IP networking penetration testing and vulnerability assessment practices Follow safe work practices related to working with automation and power management systems. Qualifications Basic (Required) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a technical discipline (Electrical/Computer Engineering, Information Science, Computer Science) or minimum of 5 years of experience working in cyber security. Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license. Legally authorized to work in the Canada without company sponsorship Preferred Criteria: 5 years of experience working with Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), Power Control, Mission Critical, or Building Management systems (BMS) Experience with EPMS or BMS project commissioning in the field 3 years of experience working in Information Systems sector, with a focus on server provisioning, virtualization, and network security. Networking certifications (CCT, CCENT, CCNA) Recommended Security certifications (CISSP, CompTIA Security+) Position Criteria: Excellent interpersonal and communication/presentation skills Basic knowledge about power systems and regulation standards Working knowledge of security tools including IDA Pro, Kali, Wireshark etc. Working knowledge of industrial and IoT communication protocols such as Modbus, DNP, IEC61850, BACNet, SNMP, OPC-UA, MQTT, AMQP, TCP/IP Working knowledge of test equipment and diagnostic instruments for automation and power management systems. Strong computer skills required with Windows Operating Systems, Windows Server knowledge, and Microsoft SQL Good security practice and controls in the ICS OT/IT convergence space and knowledge of security standards including NERC CIP regulation or NIST Framework Knowledge of power quality meters, trip units, protective relays, motor control, VFD and UPS Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment as part of a team.
