Major Responsibilities:

• Leader of the technical team

• Technical project lead. Develop and improve customer relationships and communication of all technical issues

• Product requirement analysis according to customer request

• Prescription and definition of the development targets (Specification)

• Analysis of the given product specifications and derivation of possible solutions in coordination with Application Design and Core

• Product definition for the appropriate customer projects together with project management

• Structuring of all arising design tasks and carrying out with Design and Testing

• Determination of the necessary development capacities and –costs together with Design, Testing and Prototype Shop

• Creation and supervision of the action plans for Engineering

• Ensure processing of all TIR’s until DV

• Preparation of technique activities for the reviews

• Create DVP&R and communicate it with customer for sign off

• Achieving of the internal technical release for CV, DV, PV, arranging deviated quantity parts for Engineering matters in due time.

• Arranging of system simulations / component simulations

• Arranging of installation studies and anchor point definitions

• Responsible for System FMEA (interface to the vehicle) with support from Systems Engineering

• Procurement of vehicle data from the customer

• Product definition for customer samples

• Handling of data files (data exchange)

• Clarification and definition of test plans for internal / external prototypes with the customer

• Secure the GDPIM conformity for technique activities (Global Development and Product Introduction Process)

• Releasing of products for homologation testing (BAM, KL. 9, Homologation)

• Secure the definition of COP test plans prior to SOP.

• Arranging of customer information for new product planning developments

• Cooperation at customer complaint analysis

• Analysis of the weak points from series production and field experience at the customer

• Applying of lessons learned / best practices

• Conversion of VA/VE-measures

• Well knowledge in development of restraint systems for vehicle specific safety concepts

• Well knowledge with PC and application programs

• Well communication skills and active thinking

• English knowledge, fluency in both written and spoken, as interface are mostly external and international

Educational:

• Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Mechanics, Vehicle Technology, or equivalent majors.

Experience:

• 3 years experience in development at automobile supplier industry
