About Our Team Lenovo is seeking a Global Packaging Engineer. This engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing world class packaging solutions and manufacturing and quality processes for our Data Center Group (DCG) portfolio of products, options and service parts. This is a full-time position and reports to Design , Art/Creative , the Manager of Packaging and Manufacturing Engineering and is based at the Lenovo Data Center Group (DCG) U.S. Headquarters in Morrisville, NC. What You'll Do Responsibilities include: • Develop packaging solutions for Lenovo DCG products • Troubleshoot new and existing packaging problems involving designs, materials, and processes and provide creative, timely, and cost-effective solutions • Participate with NPI and development teams to support new product introduction. • Work with global manufacturing locations to facilitate packaging introductions and process improvements • Work with global suppliers to introduce new designs, materials, and maintain supplier packaging quality • Identify and implement cost savings initiatives related to packaging materials, transportation, and process efficiency • Maintain packaging bills of materials for worldwide products • Evaluate new packaging suppliers/vendors and conduct vendor reviews • Operate Shock/Vibration/Free-fall drop validation works • Maintain Shock/Vibration/Pkg Drop equipment • Write and maintain packaging process instructions for Global Manufacturing sites #### Position Requirements: Position Requirements: • Bachelor's Degree in Packaging Science or related engineering field • Packaging design and test experience • Strong critical thinking, innovation and problem solving skills • Ability to perform in a fast-paced work environment. • Great communication skills both verbal and written, English proficiency • Team player with good interpersonal skills • Self-motivated and driven to perform • Familiarity with fragility/packaging dynamic theorem is preferred • Ability to work independently in a lab environment • Ability to travel up to 25% both domestic and internationally Why Lenovo?
