Intel is seeking highly qualified candidates to join the Ethernet Platforms Group as a Packet Processing architect.The Ethernet Platforms Group is driving next-generation networking technologies to meet the needs of the ever-evolving cloud. Be a part of this revolution. As a Packet Processing Architect, you will be responsible for delivering packet processing solutions at the silicon and software level for cloud, enterprise and telco segments across a range of discrete products and IPs, spanning software and silicon. You will engage directly with silicon teams, driving IP design and supporting RTL and validation efforts. You will also participate and lead discussions in cross-functional architecture and engineering groups to balance trade-offs across performance, scalability, reliability and security. In addition, you will engage with customers and internal stakeholders to monitor and influence evolving approaches for delivering services at scale and map these approaches into requirements and architecture for next generation networking silicon and software.This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship. You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field plus 9 years of related work experience, Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field plus 6 years of related work experience, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field plus 4 years of related work experience.
9+ years of experience working with ASIC design and microarchitecture, engaging with silicon teams and driving implementation from architecture through validation
8+ years of experience and in-depth knowledge of cloud networking technologies, protocols and software stacks, usage models and deployment strategies.
6+ years of proven written and oral communication skills.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in packet processing solutions.
Experience working with silicon engineering teams and delivering silicon products.
Experience delivering software solutions and frameworks for networking OS interfaces, middle-ware APIs, control-plane or orchestration.
