What you’ll do?

The successful applicant will directly manage the Paediatric Portfolio, develop strategy and marketing material as well as leading a group of Paediatric Speciality Care sales representatives.  You will be responsible for delivering sales results for the entire geography. We are looking for a seasoned leader, expected to share best practices and influence peers nationally.

With your marketing and sales expertise and experience, your main focus areas will include:

  • Designing, implementing and evaluating marketing activities of assigned brand, which may include distribution channel solutions.
  • Reviewing marketing programs and implements program changes.
  • Working with analysts to analyze market data and identify key segment drivers, growth opportunities and business threats.
  • Liaising with internal departments and external agencies to ensure full communication and success of marketing plans
  • Contributing to creativity of product packaging, presentation and promotional activities
  • Complying with all regulations regarding interactions with healthcare professionals and adhere to the SA marketing code
  • Lead the Paediatric Speciality Care sales team nationally, to ensure delivery of sales ambition for the full portfolio.
  • Liaise and build relationships with external Paediatric KEE’s, baby clinics and neonatal units

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or Marketing
  • Marketing experience
  • Experience in managing a team
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, financial management, written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience managing complex projects

Desirable for the role

  • Relationships with key paediatricians in South Africa
  • Knowledge of key accounts like baby clinics and neo natal wards
  • Track record in working with patient support programmes
  • Previous exposure and/or experience in other functional areas of the business such as Sales Management, Paediatrics, Brand Team and financial forecasting
