Part Time Host\Hostess
As a Host/Hostess with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, you will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our dining experience. Your warm, personal attention provides a memorable first impression for guests of Hawthorn, making them feel welcome and valued.

  What you will be doing:
• Consistently offer a professional, friendly greeting and engaging service
• Creating heartfelt moments for our guests
• Acting concierge for guests
• Communication with culinary for weekly reservations
• Understand the Server’s tasks in the outlet
• Creating server sections prior to line up
• Comprehensive knowledge of the companies where our products are sourced from
• Follow Hawthorn and Fairmont policies, procedures and service standards
• Complete knowledge and adhere to the Leading Quality Assurance Standards
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage 
• Assist guests regarding food and beverage menu items in an informative and helpful way 
• Other duties as assigned

Your experience and skills include:

• Previous Opentable experience an asset 
• Excellent communication and organizational skills 
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities 
• Highly responsible & reliable 
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment 
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team 
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Ability to go above and beyond for internal and external guests

• Centrally located in downtown Calgary, Fairmont Palliser is the city’s premier, landmark hotel. With 407 elegantly appointed guest rooms, The Fairmont Palliser is truly the place to be. Join us in delivering the iconic Calgary experience. 
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
