The candidate for this position should exhibit a genuine love of children and possess outstanding interpersonal skills, be able to demonstrate strong classroom management skills and maintain high energy with young children. The candidate will also be working alongside an experienced Montessori teacher in our Montessori Playgroup and Pre-Nursery classroom. Montessori-related work experience is not required but will be an asset.

This position may turn full time in November 2020.

Requirements:

• minimum of 1-year teaching experience in a learning center, playgroup or kindergarten setting
• passion for child-centered education and fostering independence in young learners within the Montessori environment
• ability to collaborate with others and work in a team
• creative, enjoy singing and interacting with young children
• experience and interest in any of the following is a plus: social media, arts and crafts, photography
• excellent interpersonal, communication and classroom management skills
