Night Auditor
 

First impressions are everything! Your engaging smile and personality are the essence of a great Night Auditor with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. As you personally greet our guests and assist them throughout the day, you will be empowered to deliver on our mission of turning moments into memories for our guests.
 

What you will be doing:

  • Greet, check in, and settle guest accounts while ensuring all service standards are followed
  • Be knowledgeable regarding all guestrooms, suites, and services at the hotel
  • Maintain current and correct posting of all charges
  • Resolve customer concerns and complaints ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Assist in handling emergency situations
  • Train, motivate and develop front desk agents
  • Perform cashiering functions accurately
  • Review routing, rates and all night auditing functions
  • Cash handling, which includes currency exchange and balancing a float
  • Serve as a sales agent promoting and up-selling hotel services
  • Monitor rooms' inventory to assist in maximizing rooms' revenue
  • Other duties as required or assigned

Your experience and skills include:

  • Previous PMS experience is an asset
  • Hospitality diploma is an asset
  • Previous experience in front office in similar role, preferably a 4/5 Star/Diamond hotel
  • Ability to communicate in English, both verbal and non-verbal
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment and manage conflicting priorities
  • Must have the ability to hand cash effectively and accurately
  • Computer literate and experience with front office applications a strong asset
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team with minimal supervision
  • Ability to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining work authorization documents.
