Part-Time Undergrad Intern – Finance (20 hours/week)

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. During this part-time internship from March-August 2022, you will be assigned relevant projects that align with Amgen’s strategic goals and provide cross-functional exposure. Responsibilities also include:

  • Supporting various Finance departments on tasks such as accounting monthly close, monthly forecasting, and ad-hoc projects related to Amgen’s overall business operations.

  • Product discounting strategy, pipeline molecule valuation, resource allocation strategies, variance analyses and/or industry benchmarking analyses

Basic Qualifications

Amgen requires that all individuals applying for an undergrad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:

18 years or older

Currently enrolled in a full time Bachelor’s Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent

Completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing

Enrolled in a full time Bachelor’s degree program following the potential internship or co-op assignment with an accredited college or university

Must not be employed at the time the internship starts

Preferred Qualifications

Degree concentration in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Biotechnology Management with intended graduation between December 2022 and June 2024

Able to demonstrate an understanding of basic financial analytical principles

Prior work experience

3.3 GPA and above

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail

Effective communication and organizational skills

Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Ability to multi-task and stay focused on priorities in a fast-paced environment in order to meet deadlines

Must be a strong team player who is able to collaborate with colleagues on complex assignments

Biotechnology, pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience
