Siemens Smart Infrastructure - Grid Software; SI GSW Turkey is mainly focused on Development and Execution of Software Solutions for Energy Automation Smart Grid Products. As being the integral part of Siemens Grid Software, Grid Control Engineering group is mainly focused on Software Solution & Implementation of Grid Control segment product. To accomplish the mission of the group, the candidate will perform as a Software Development Engineer in ODTÜ Teknokent Ankara office for Outage Management projects in Grid Software Area. What part will you play? • Working within the engineering team to develop, maintain and support commercial application software for electrical power system modeling and analysis, • Developing and maintaining Web-based and/or Desktop applications and components under the guidance of the product owner/expert(s), • Supporting tests for the QA team to assess performance, correction, and usability of the software, • Taking responsibilities on Siemens wide organizational roles to support working as One Global Team, • Fixing bugs that are discovered during tests or informed by the customers, • IT Integration development and implementation, • Conducting FAT, SAT, Unit tests and Scenario tests, What you need to make real what matters • 3rd and 4th year undergraduate student in Computer Science, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering (or similar fields), • Minimum 2,5 days/week availability during school term, 3-4 days/week during summer and mid-term holiday (partly remote working), • SW development experience in Object-Oriented Programming practices, • SW development experience on C/C++ and Java • Solid know-how on data structures, OOP paradigm and software design patterns • Solid know-how on database systems, SQL especially Oracle DB (PLSQL), ORM libraries and Jasper Reports • Solid know-how on software versioning systems (GIT, Clearcase) • Basic know-how and/or experience on Service Oriented Architecture, Web Services and Middleware Solutions • Basic know-how and/or SW development experience on Unix/Linux platform. • Proficient Level of English At Siemens we are always challenging ourselves to build a better future.
