Job Description

Overview

We are looking to appoint an experienced and passionate Part time Teacher of English as an Additional Language (EAL) to join our vibrant EAL team. Students of the British Secondary and High School follow the English National Curriculum at Key Stage 3, and then complete Cambridge IGCSEs before moving on to the IB Diploma. The majority of students are multilingual and represent a range of diverse backgrounds and nationalities. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrate a collaborative approach to teaching and learning, be flexible and committed to accommodating the needs of our student body. Our students achieve excellent academic outcomes in languages with many going on to study at some of the best universities in the world.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a minimum of a B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE and appropriate experience. Experience of working in a mainstream international school with a Western pedagogical background would be a significant advantage. You will need to be a qualified teacher who is a fluent English speaker and who is an excellent communicator. We are looking for someone who is passionate about children’s learning and who will participate fully in the life of our school.
