The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) offers 21 innovative degree programmes that are vocationally oriented and developed with significant industry input. All the programmes are accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications, and most are also accredited by the relevant professional bodies. In 2020/21 academic year, ten programmes will be included in the HKSAR Government’s Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions / Sectors (SSSDP), which provides subsidies to students varying from $42,800 to $74,600 per year. Major Duties:
The appointee shall report to Dean and engage in delivering lectures, conducting tutorials and supervising students’ projects for the Faculty.

Requirements:
The successful candidate should have a Master’s degree, preferably a doctoral degree, in Aircraft Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aviation, Material Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Management or related fields; and at least 4 years’ teaching experience at tertiary level and/or experience in professional practice in the relevant fields.

He/she should have good interpersonal and social skills, and high proficiency in English and preferably in Chinese, including Putonghua. Preference will be given to candidates with solid experience in aircraft maintenance practice, electrical/electronic engineering, avionics, or material engineering. Proven records of industry work experience in the areas of aviation and air legislation would be an advantage.

Notes:
(1) Shortlisted candidates will be required to give a teaching demonstration in English at the interview.
(2) The appointees may be required to work irregular hours and perform duties on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary.
(3) The appointee will work on Tsing Yi campus.
