The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) offers 22 innovative degree programmes that are vocationally oriented and developed with significant industry input. All the programmes are accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications, and most are also accredited by the relevant professional bodies. In 2019/20 AY, twelve programmes are included in the Government’s Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions / Sectors (SSSDP), which provides subsidies to students varying from $41,700 to $72,800 per year. Major Duties:
The appointee shall report to Dean and engage in delivering lectures, conducting tutorials and supervising students’ projects for the Faculty.

Requirements:
The successful candidate should have a Master’s degree, preferably a doctoral degree, in Aircraft Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Science, Mechanical Engineering or related fields; and at least 4 years of relevant teaching experience in Aircraft or Aerospace Engineering and Thermodynamics at tertiary level with relevant research experience in propulsion design.

He/she should have good interpersonal and social skills, and high proficiency in English and preferably in Chinese, including Putonghua. Preference will be given to candidates with solid research experience in Aerothermal Engineering in Turbofan Engine, solid experience in Computation Fluid Dynamics and supervision experience in student projects or research projects. Proven records of linkage with jet engine industry or professional bodies would be an advantage.

Notes:
(1) Shortlisted candidates will be required to give a teaching demonstration in English at the interview.
(2) The appointees may be required to work irregular hours and perform duties on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary.
(3) The appointee will work on Tsing Yi campus.
