The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) offers 21 innovative degree programmes that are vocationally oriented and developed with significant industry input. All the programmes are accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications, and most are also accredited by the relevant professional bodies. In 2020/21 academic year, ten programmes will be included in the HKSAR Government’s Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions / Sectors (SSSDP), which provides subsidies to students varying from $42,800 to $74,600 per year. Major Duties:
The appointee shall report to the Dean, work in a team, engage in teaching and related learning activities, support students in their learning, develop learning and teaching materials (including self-access and e-learning materials), and undertake academic support services.

Requirements:
The successful candidate should have a Master’s degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, English Language and Linguistics, English Language Education or a relevant discipline; at least 4 years’ teaching experience at tertiary level in Hong Kong or relevant industry experience. A professional qualification in English language teaching and good interpersonal and social skills will be preferred. Candidates with experience in teaching English for academic purposes and English for specific purposes at tertiary level in Hong Kong and/or research experience in areas such as CLIL/WAC, ESP, EAP or e-learning will have an advantage.

Notes:
(1) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays.
(2) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
