Job Description
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee should be able to plan and deliver the full-time undergraduate course LANGE350F Non-verbal Language for Business Communication either in the face-to-face mode or online.  The course is a higher level course on analysing non-verbal communication theories and drama skills and on applying the theories and skills to enhancing communication in the business context.  The appointee shall mainly be responsible for the following:

  • Teaching a maximum of eight hours per week on weekdays during daytime;
  • Completing related duties including the development of teaching and learning materials; and
  • Marking of assignments and providing consultation to students.

The appointee will be required to carry out duties for the period between May and September 2020.

 
Requirements
Applicants are expected to possess the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

  • A higher degree in drama and/or a related discipline in business communication. Preference will be given to applicants with also a bachelor’s degree in drama, business communication, and/or teaching experience in higher education;
  • Familiar with the artistic and social dimensions of drama for business communication and be able to teach the skills of applying non-verbal elements for achieving better communication through creating business scenarios; and
  • Fluent in both spoken English and Cantonese.


Compensation Package
Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract.  Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
