The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) offers 22 innovative degree programmes that are vocationally oriented and developed with significant industry input. All the programmes are accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications, and most are also accredited by the relevant professional bodies. In 2019/20, twelve programmes are in the Government’s Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions / Sectors (SSSDP), which provides subsidies to students varying from $41,700 to $72,800 per year. Employment Period:
7 months (from mid November 2019)

Major Duties:
The appointee shall report to the Principal Investigator (PI) of the project “Seed Grant Project for The effects of a 6-week wearable resistance training intervention on physical fitness of recreational athletes”. He/she is expected to facilitate project coordination, subject recruitment, intervention conduction, data collection, data entry and data analysis; consolidate project findings; produce draft reports; and perform other related duties as assigned by the PI.

Requirements:
For the post of Part-time Research Assistant I, applicants should have a Master’s degree in Sports Science or related disciplines or a recognized degree in a related discipline with relevant work experience.

For the post of Part-time Research Assistant II, applicants should have a recognized sub-degree in Sports Science or related disciplines.

In addition to working cohesively with other project team-members, the candidate should have good oral and written English skills; knowledge in quantitative and qualitative data collection; ability to conduct data analysis using SPSS; highly self-motivated; and able to work efficiently with tight timelines. Candidates with experience in coaching strength and conditioning sessions will have an advantage.
