The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) offers 22 innovative degree programmes that are vocationally oriented and developed with significant industry input. All the programmes are accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications, and most are also accredited by the relevant professional bodies. In 2019/20, twelve programmes are in the Government’s Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions / Sectors (SSSDP), which provides subsidies to students varying from $41,700 to $72,800 per year. Major Duties:
The appointee shall report to the Principal Investigator (PI) of the project. He/she will be required to perform literature review/data collection and data analysis; participate in a project to investigate chemicals in food; conduct experiments for chemical analysis (using LCMS); and perform other research duties as assigned by the PI.

Requirements:
Applicants should have a recognized sub-degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Chemical or Biological Sciences or related disciplines, with good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, as well as good administrative, interpersonal and communication skills. He/she should have a strong sense of responsibility, good organizational skills, good work initiative and an ability to work independently. Those with working knowledge of Mass spectroscopy, microbial culture and SPSS would have an advantage.

Notes:
(1) Candidates may be appointed on part-time or temporary terms of employment.
(2) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays.
(3) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
(4) The appointee will work on Tsing Yi campus.
