Job Description
The School of Education and Languages is now inviting applications for Part-time Teaching Practice Supervisor of the courses within the programme “Bachelor of Education with Honours in English Language Teaching and Bachelor of English Language Studies with Honours (Full-time)” :

The courses above are commencing from September 2020.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities

The appointees shall mainly be responsible for the following:

  • visiting schools of student teachers during regular school hours for below period(s):

          EDUE400F: between March 2021 and May 2021
          EDUE472F: between November 2020 and December 2020


In view of the development of COVID-19, Teaching Practice Supervisors will follow the special teaching arrangement adopted at individual schools and conduct lesson observations online if necessary.

 
Requirements
Applicants are expected to possess the following qualifications, experience and attributes:
  • a recognized bachelor's degree in English or equivalent, preferably a higher degree in Education/English;
  • a teacher qualification in English Language Teaching;
  • a minimum of four years’ experience in primary and/or secondary school English teaching in Hong Kong; 
  • preferably with experience in teacher education; and
  • fluent in both written and spoken English.

 

Compensation Package
Successful candidates will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
