Part-time Weekend English Science Teacher
Outdoor STEM
Location: Beijing|Olympic Park
Schedule: Weekends, mainly Saturday or Sunday
Class Type: Small-group English science classes
Student Age: 5–11 years old
Position Type: Part-time / Freelance

About Us
Forest Club is looking for passionate part-time English-speaking teachers to join our weekend science programme.
Our classes combine English learning, hands-on science, outdoor exploration and STEM inquiry. Students learn science through real observation, experiments, building challenges, discussion and simple presentations.
This is not a traditional ESL class. We are looking for teachers who enjoy working with children in an active, inquiry-based learning environment.

What You Will Teach
Teachers will lead weekend science classes such as:
• Outdoor nature observation
• UK Science curriculum
• STEM building challenges
Lesson plans, materials and teaching support will be provided.

Main Responsibilities
• Deliver engaging English science lessons for young learners
• Guide students through observation, questioning, experiments and hands-on tasks
• Use simple and clear English instructions suitable for children
• Encourage students to speak, describe, explain and present their ideas
• Support classroom safety, behaviour management and group activities
• Work with Chinese teaching assistants and programme coordinators
• Give brief feedback after class when needed

We Are Looking For Someone Who
• English native speakers
• Enjoys teaching children aged 5–11
• Has experience in teaching, outdoor education, science, STEM, ESL or project-based learning
• Is confident managing small groups of children
• Can make lessons active, fun and well-organised
• Is reliable, punctual and professional
• Is comfortable teaching outdoors or nature-based spaces

Preferred Qualifications
• Teaching experience in international schools, bilingual schools or learning centres
• Background in science, education, STEM, environmental education or early childhood education
• TEFL / TESOL / CELTA / PGCE or teaching-related qualification
• Experience with inquiry-based learning, IB PYP, UK curriculum or project-based learning
• Legal eligibility to work or teach part-time in China
