Job Description
Next47, a leading venture capital firm focused on enterprise technology investments across US, Europe, and Israel and with offices in Palo Alto, London, Paris, Munich, Berlin, and Tel Aviv, is looking to hire a Partner, Go-To-Market. The Partner will manage Next47’s global Go-To-Market (GTM) team which consists of dedicated Next47 professionals across North America and Europe. The GTM team is focused on accelerating the success of Next47 portfolio companies by leveraging our unique network of 250+ enterprise customers across 15 countries. This unmatched global group helps our portfolio companies secure key customers, build a wider footprint, and unlock critical breakthroughs. This position is based in Palo Alto and reports to Next47’s Chief Operating Officer. Responsibilities: Set overall strategy and processes for global GTM team Collaborate with portfolio company founders/executives and Next47 investment team members to create goals for the GTM team with meaningful and measurable results. Examples of goals include (within specified time periods): Generating qualified opportunities across a variety of geographic and vertical markets Supporting the closing of a number of such opportunities Helping portfolio companies recruit talented team members by introducing, interviewing, and/or helping to close top candidates for GTM roles Connecting potential customers willing to provide feedback or serve as early adopters or design partners Arranging events where portfolio companies engage with a variety of prospective customers Track progress towards achievement of goals and provide transparent feedback to both investment team members and portfolio companies Provide support and guidance to GTM team members to help achieve results that delight Next47 portfolio companies Serve as bridge between investment team and GTM team, ensuring that feedback from investment team is incorporated into GTM team member priorities, focus areas, and deliverables Provide investment team with regular updates on progress towards aligned goals as well as broader market insights and trends Meet with prospective portfolio companies to discuss ways that the GTM team can enhance success at different stages of company development Recruit additional team members, as needed, and provide strong mentoring/coaching Travel for in-person meetings with portfolio company founders/executives, spending time with Next47 colleagues in other geographies, and cultivating enterprise customer relationships Qualifications and experience: Bachelor’s degree and minimum 15+ years of total work experience, with mix of progressive experience in sales, business development, or customer success Extensive experience working at or supporting enterprise technology startups; demonstrated success in driving customer wins and growth at early-stage or expansion-stage companies Familiarity with purchasing decisions/processes for enterprise customers purchasing technology solutions Broad and deep relationships across the venture capital ecosystem and familiarity with dynamics of venture capital firms and venture-backed startups Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with proven ability to develop and maintain effective business relationships with enterprise technology startup founders and executives Experience with variety of go-to-market motions and selling across multiple industries and segments Proven success in hiring and managing high-performance teams across multiple geographies Ability to create and improve processes and operations from the ground up Experience in a global organization, ideally with material time spent working in both the United States and Europe Ability to interpret data and provide relevant conclusions/recommendations in a group setting Excellent organizational skills Self-starter with strong work ethic capable of working both independently and collaboratively Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Role Location: Palo Alto, California The anticipated salary range for this California-based role is between $215,000-$300,000, actual starting pay may vary based on a range of factors which can include experience, skills, and scope. This role is eligible for a discretionary bonus along with perquisite plans including a comprehensive benefit package; 401(k) with matching; flexible PTO; sick leave; and paid holidays.
